The American Crafts Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go Collection has so many bright, fun papers and embellishments, picking a theme truly is difficult. From patterned papers, bright colors and tags, to die cut shapes, stickers and even a date stamp – you really are spoilt for choice! This collection just shouts out Amy Tangerine!

Here is this week’s sketch. Hope you like it!

And here is my layout:

I loved this background paper . It is very plain and simple, with a few printed on elements in the top left hand corner. I wanted to add a little more dimension and texture to this, so added some extra papers, stickers and hand stitching – the design is the same, it just has a little more interest now.

I also loved all the different elements in this collection so much, I wanted to try and use them all! I love the look of clustered embellishments on layouts and this seems to be a big trend on Amy Tangerine layouts. So I thought I would give it a try! I used some of the die cuts in the collection, along with punched circles and stickers to create this layered, clustered embellishment.

I then felt that I needed to balance out the layout with a few more embellishments in the bottom right corner. I added some stitching for texture, along with a layered sticker and more of the die cut embellishments. Unfortunately the date stamp didn’t go back to 2002 which is when the photograph was taken, but it does have some great sentiments so I used the ‘snapshot’ wording to add another few details.

Lastly, I added some ‘hidden journaling’. I really don’t like to see my handwriting on a scrapbook layout, so I much prefer hidden journaling. The small journaling cards that come in the collection were perfect for this. I highlighted it with the small arrow stickers, just so people know it is there!
